We love to play, we love to party but in the midst of all the madness, we can proudly say that we have never missed out on giving back to the society. Every month, we dedicate one full hour game in one of our most bustling rooms to donate the fundings to a Charitable organization. Every month we choose one of the most active organizations working for a plaguing cause in the UK and we believe that the little contribution that we make together makes a huge difference in the lives of many. Not only is it a very satisfying feeling to give back while indulging in our own happiness, it humbly reminds us that even a little help can leave a huge impact in the lives of others.
This month, we have chosen to contribute in our little way to the National Autistic society. We will be sending out all of the funds that we collect in our Village Inn room between 3pm and 4pm on the 31st of August to the organization.
To give you a bit of information about this society and what work they do for the cause, we have to start from how the organization came into existence. It was started around 50 years ago by a small group of parents with autistic children and the organization has only grown since then and now provide support and other pioneering services to better the quality of life for not only the people suffering from this illness but their families too.
The National Autistic Society is an organization that helps people affected with autistic spectrum disorders, including autism and Asperger Syndrome. Autism is a developmental disorder that affects the brain and individuals with this disorder find it difficult to lead an independent life of their own. It is a lifelong disorder with no cure. But with the right support, their condition can always be improved.
The Society has a number of residential schools across the United Kingdom and offers professional help to children and adults alike. They have touched lives of millions and that is why we have chosen the National Autistic Society to donate to this month.
So, if you want to be a small part of the enormous effort that the NAS is putting in, then be sure to visit www.gamevillage.com on the 31st of August. Pre-buy your tickets to the 3.05pm game and participate in the 1p sessions. All the wagers you place in these games till 3.55pm will be donated directly to this charity.
Every bit counts!
